Write What Your Heart Desires

I've been battling with computer issues the last few days. My internet has been going off and on. It's been more of an annoyance than anything else.

Anyway, I sat down in a comfy chair last night, that would now be on thursday night, my netbook in hand. It was chillout time - for a change. From there things went downhill. I now have the pleasure of two computers - my desktop and my netbook - and I love them both. Well, until things start going wrong.

Today (friday) I got up and turned my desktop computer on. It wouldn't connect to the internet. I tried everything but nothing worked. Now those of my readers who write you know what it is to have a faulty computer - you're lost without it. So, having exhausted everything I could think of, I phoned the technical guys. Two telephone calls later I got the news I really didn't want. My computer needed a complete system restore. The computer is only three months old, so that makes it even more annoying.

Now, if you haven't noticed, the computer with the problem is my writing computer. I've tried to be very good and use it only for writing. Okay, I've done a few other things on it, but nothing much. So for a few days I'm stuck with the netbook. I'll have to pull out the flash drive if I need it.

So, now without my computer I'll make do. Pen and paper are a good substitute, but they're not the same. The story, or in this case blog still has to be typed up. Yes, I've got the netbook, but its not the same. Also, I can't print anything so stories will have to wait. You don't realise how much you need the computer until you don't have it.
